You're not just the guy who washes the sheets. You are the guy that washes sheets and helps remove infection from the hospital. Every sheet you wash could literally be saving hundreds of lives. You and anyone else working in a hospital is a hero.
You're not JUST anybody, you're doing great work that you should be proud of.
It would only be right to dedicate the awards kindly given, to the people on the front line all over the world. Heroes!
"Just." YOU are incredibly important. Hospital kitchen staff, evs, pharmacy techs, csr's, transporters, radiology techs, respiratory therapy....their praises should be sung as loudly as doctors/nurses. It frustrates me that the "just" employees are almost apologetic when they preface their opinion with this disclaimer. We are all cogs in the wheel. Be proud. Thank you, from your hard nosed, ice queen coworker, the ER phlebotomist/tech.
